Learning through social interactions and emotional development is at the core of childcare at the Margaux Early Childhood School. Children from Coral Gables, South Miami, Coconut Grove, and Pinecrest, FL enjoy playing together while learning with caring teachers and friends surrounding them. Our classroom is both indoors and outdoors, to provide multiple learning environments. Children explore each space with curiosity and through this process learn about their environment and themselves.
With a staff to child ratio of 1 to 6 for children who are two years-old, our students understand that we are here for them. We listen, understand their needs, and work to have each child grow in their classroom environment. Through social interactions, children learn about the people around them. Each day at the Margaux Early Childhood School, our goal is to strengthen the children’s development through age appropriate activities. Leading children to explore their creativity is key. At this age, social and emotional development is the focus and our teachers work with children from Coconut Grove, South Miami, Coral Gables and Pinecrest, to help them continue to grow and learn.
A core component of social and emotional development is learning about themselves and others. During this sensori-motor period of development, children are surrounded by toys, materials, and manipulatives that vary in color, size, shape and texture, enhancing their learning experience. Expressing themselves is most important and our teachers help them learn to do so through enjoyable experiences. Some ways to help children express themselves is to have them listen to music, sounds and language, which develops their skills of communication.
We offer three different class times and days from which to choose. We offer a five-day program from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a five-day program from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., and a three-day program from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Whichever program you choose, your child will learn and love to come to class. Being around friends and teachers, who are happy to be at school, makes it a fun, nurturing place for students. No matter which program you choose, your child will have a great time being with classmates, growing, and learning to express themselves.
